Personal Safety Tips

Join the discussion that will help you become more aware of your personal safety. With just a few simple tips, you can increase an awareness of your surroundings, learn the importance of paying attention to your instincts, and explore situations where you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

Four pillars of safety will be highlighted, along with strategies for preparedness in a variety of settings. This discussion alone is a step in the right direction toward building better safety habits – at work, at home and in the community.

AJ

AJ is a busy volunteer in the community, supporting women who have escaped domestic violence and prostitution. She provides a personal perspective on safety, being a survivor of intimate partner violence. AJ finished her first book in 2019 on healing after abuse, titled Finding HER Stuff.
