Arianne Brady

Director of Stakeholder Relations

In her role as Director of Stakeholder Relations with Horizon Housing Society, Arianne works with her team to lead stakeholder engagement and communications initiatives in support of the organization's operations and growth objectives. She brings diverse knowledge and experience with a Bachelor of Commerce (With Distinction) from the University of Calgary, Master Design Certificate (SAIT), and practical industry experience through various marketing roles in the private sector. Arianne serves as Chair of the Community Housing Affordability Collective's Policy Committee and in 2017, completed the Public Policy Training Institute course through the Max Bell Foundation.

Jess Kennedy

Since joining Horizon Housing Society as Resident Building Manager in 2011, Jess Kennedy earned several industry awards for his work, including the Calgary Residential Rental Association's Building Manager of the Year (2015) and Property of the Year (Bob Ward Residence, 2015). Jess is a certified Journeyman Electrician (SAIT) and as Director of Building Operations, he leads a team of Resident Building Managers to operate and manage seven apartment buildings and eight group homes. Together with his team, he works with over 20 referring support agencies to serve over 700 individuals throughout Calgary.

Louise Fisher

Chief Operating Officer

With over two decades of experience with Horizon Housing, through her tenure, Louise Fisher has led the organization's Tenant Services, Human Resources, and Finance Teams. With a deep understanding of the complexities of the housing sector, she has used her knowledge to build strong partnerships with Horizon Housing's community partners and develop industry-leading practices for tenant services. Louise serves as a contributing member of MESH and Treasurer of the Board for Calgary Residential Rental Association.

Martina Jileckova

CEO

As CEO of Horizon Housing Society, Martina Jileckova is passionate about the Society's mission of providing individuals and families an affordable place to call home and the profound impact housing has on shaping lives and building welcoming, inclusive communities.

Martina came to the role in 2017, with 20 years of experience in the real estate sector, and a strong track record of driving meaningful growth. Through leadership roles with the Calgary Homeless Foundation and HomeSpace Society, Martina spearheaded one of the fastest expansions of an affordable housing operator in Alberta, growing from 11 units to 500 in just eight years. With an ambitious strategic plan and continued focus on responsible growth and community advocacy, Horizon Housing offered the perfect marriage of her experience in real estate development and her passion for implementing innovative solutions to help Calgarians in need.

As a respected leader within the sector, Martina is committed to building strong partnerships with government, community groups, and other like-minded organizations. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Community Housing Affordability Collective (CHAC) and provides leadership as Chair for the National Housing Day Planning Committee. She is a member of The City of Calgary Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB), the Calgary Local Immigration Partnership Council (CLIP) and sits on the Board for the Alberta Network of Public Housing Agencies (ANPHA). Martina holds a Masters of Environmental Design, Planning from the University of Calgary, and a Certificate of Advanced Real Estate Development Economics from Simon Fraser University.

Nicole Long

Director of Finance

As a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce (With Distinction) from the University of Alberta, Nicole Long brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and leadership skills to her role as Director of Finance. Prior to joining Horizon in 2014, she was a Senior Associate in Audit & Assurance with PwC and held a role as Tax Assessor with the Government of Alberta. Together with her team, Nicole spearheads key projects including financial planning and cash flow projections for current and future development projects, annual audit, and financial reporting to key stakeholders.
